Join artist and educator Sara Hunsucker for a hands-on ceramics experience designed especially for kids! Held in her welcoming home studio in Easton, Connecticut, complete with indoor and outdoor creative space. These classes give children the chance to explore the magical world of clay through both pottery wheel work and hand-building techniques. Students take the lead as they bring their imaginations to life. Classes emphasize creating with materials from the natural world.
Sara, who holds an MFA in visual arts and has over a decade of experience in art education. Sara began offering ceramics classes in her home studio during the pandemic as a way to create safe, meaningful creative opportunities for children. Since then, the program has blossomed into a vibrant space where young artists can thrive. In addition to her studio practice, Sara teaches at a local independent school and brings a thoughtful, playful approach to nurturing creativity, curiosity, and confidence in every student.
With small class sizes and plenty of fresh air and inspiration, each session offers a joyful balance of structure and freedom in a supportive, nature-connected setting. Come get your hands muddy and your imagination soaring!
