This apron is one of a kind, hand-dyed in natural indigo using shibori techniques. The apron is made of 100% cotton canvas and features an adjustable neck strap, 2 side pockets and 2 upper pockets (one is for a small for a writing implement or tool). The dye process begins with a pre-reduced natural indigo fermentation bath. The folded and bound apron is dipped several times to achieve it's blue tone. The indigo dye starts out green and turns blue as it oxidizes.
Caring for your apron: It is recommended that you wash in cold water. Do not bleach. Hang dry only. The dryer will shrink this item significantly. Use a low heat iron.
